Egypt’s Fulbright Commission Reaches Out To Beni Sueif University
On December 20 the Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt called on one of Egypt’s newest universities, Beni Sueif University in Beni Sueif, two hours south of Cairo. The delegation was led by the Commission’s Executive Director Bruce A. Lohof, who was joined by U.S. Senior Specialist Magdy Kamel, and Nevine Gal El-Mawla and Amal Salah of the Commission’s Egypt Program. Dr. Kamel and the Team presented a seminar on the Egyptian Student Program and a proposal writing workshop to prospective Fulbright grantees, while Dr. Lohof briefed the University’s President, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Refaat, on the range of Fulbright opportunities available to his University. Through visits like this, BFCE is able to reach wider and deeper into Egypt’s academic and professional communities.
