Accessibility & Inclusion Initiative at Mansoura University, May 2023
As part of Fulbright Egypt’s Accessibility and Inclusion Initiative, the Commission visited the Service Center for People with Disabilities at Mansoura University to host a session to help graduate students and professors with disabilities apply for Fulbright grants. The Fulbright team was welcomed by Prof. Mohamed Attia Bayoumi, VP for Student Affairs, Prof. Neveen AdeblKhalek, the Center for People with Disabilities Director and session coordinator, Dr. Mohamed ElRefai, Director of International Relations Office, and Dr. Sarah Zidan, Deputy Director of the Center for People with Disabilities. The session was led by Dr. Ibrahim Emara, the Commission’s Disability Advisor and Fulbright Scholar alumnus who talked about overcoming challenges and living independently. Also, the session included a presentation about Fulbright opportunities by the Fulbright team, which included Mr. Asser Hany, Assistant Programs Manager, and Mr. Fareed Tadros, Assistant Communications Officer.
قامت هيئ فولبرايت مصر بزيارة مركز خدمة الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة بجامعة المنصورة كجزء من مبادرة فولبرايت مصر للتمكين والإتاحة.. تم الترحيب بفريق فولبرايت من قبل الأستاذ الدكتور محمد عطية بيومي، نائب رئيس الجامعة لشئون التعليم والطلاب، الأستاذة الدكتورة نيفين عبد الخالق، مدير مركز خدمات الاشخاص ذوي الإعاقة ومنسق الاجتماع، والدكتور محمد الرفاعي، مدير مكتب العلاقات الدولية، والدكتورة سارة زيدان، نائب مدير مركز الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة. قدم الدكتور إبراهيم عمارة، مستشار الإعاقة في اللجنة وخريج برنامج فولبرايت، ندوة عن التغلب على التحديات والعيش بشكل مستقل للأشخاص ذوي الهمم. كما اشتملت الجلسة عرض تقديمي عن منح فولبرايت قدمه فريق العمل: أ. آسر هاني، مساعد مدير البرامج، وأ. فريد تادروس، مساعد مسئول الاتصالات.
